Drawer 12610 Telephone 252-636-4964 Fax 252-636-4970 Pager 252-672-6055 The Smile Mobile is a 53-foot long state of the art dental clinic on wheels that travels from school to school to provide full service dental care to children. This service is provided through the Public Health Department. This service is provided in Craven, Jones and Pamlico Counties through the Health Departments. Eligibility: Children 1 – 21 years of age and pregnant women Costs: Covered by Health Choice or Medicaid Insurance, and private pay on a sliding fee scale. Appointments are made: Through the schools and the Health Departments School: Questionnaires are sent home with the children. Parents provide health information; sign permission forms. The dental work is done during school hours. Health Dept: Cases that are found to match the above requirements may be referred to the Smile Mobile.
