Box 729 E-mail – dirving@coastalcommunityaction.com This program provides volunteer opportunities to seniors of Craven and Carteret Counties and is sponsored by Coastal Community Action, Inc. This program helps them to remain active by utilizing their wealth of knowledge, skills, and experiences to benefit the communities in which they live. Office location: Take Hwy 70 E to Newport. Turn left unto Hibbs Road, Make Rt. turn unto Joyce Street and make an immediate Rt. turn unto McQueen Avenue. Follow road around long turn. Building is on left at end of McQueen Avenue. Eligibility: Persons must be 55 years of age or older and willing to serve on a regular basis without compensation. Volunteer must be willing to accept instruction and supervision as required. Work location: You may be providing your volunteer hours to community services with critical needs that require your special skills and knowledge. Application requirements: Provide RSVP with information on your skills and interests, times you are available and preferred volunteer assignments. Must sign enrollment form.
