dirving@coastalcommunityaction.com The RSVP program is sponsored by Coastal Community Action, Inc. and is funded primarily through the Corporation for National and Community Service. They are part of USA Freedom Corps and provide volunteer services to meet critical community needs in Carteret and Craven Counties. These volunteers are retired seniors age 55 or older that have a wealth of knowledge, skills, and experiences that they want to use and share in the community in which they live. If you are in need of a volunteer, contact the RSVP recruiter who will set up a volunteer station for your organization. You will need to provide the following information: A job description Indicate the number of volunteer hours needed Any special skills required When volunteers are recruited, they will be sent to you for an interview. Responsibility of Organization: Provide training pertaining to your own organization. Provide in kind benefits as recognition, meals, or help with transportation. Fill out and sign the memorandum of understanding (see attachment) The RSVP recruiter provides pre-service training and can assist with in-service training from volunteer employers. They will also pay for any ads required to find needed volunteers. 5/2008 |
