New Bern Affiliate National Alliance On Mental Illness is a support group for the families of the mentally ill. The Family to Family Program is a support and educational program. The educational program is a 12-week course taught by family members to family members. - Learn facts about mental illness- Learn to deal with critical periods - Problem solve - Medication review - Learn communicating skills The support group meets: - Time: 3rd Thursday of the month at 7:00PM - Location: The Anchor House 1311 Health Drive, New Bern, NC 28560 For more information about the Family to Family program and the dates for the course call: 252-637-7312NAMI VOLUNTEERS Since NAMI if a family to family program this support is provided by volunteers from the families that have experienced the problems of mental illness and have gained knowledge to cope though the family to family program and the support group.
