Le‘Chris Health System of New Bern, Inc.

Glenburnie Road Le’ Chris is a Day Activity Center licensed by the Department of Health and Human Services for people of all ages with mental retardation, developmental disabilities, mental illness, and behavioral problems. These services are provided through Medicaid, State, and Federally funded programs such as CBS (Community Intervention Services) and CAP for MR-DD as well as private pay. Care and services are provided by one on one mentors that are trained personnel. The type of care is set around the individual’s need. On occasion a team approached is used to determine the care and services to be provided. This team is made up of the client, mentor, guardian/parent, and whomever else the guardian chooses. For more information about services, call or come by the Activity Center. You will be given a tour and advised on how to proceed to obtain services that fit individual lifestyles and needs. After services are begun, Le’ Chris is available from 9AM to 5PM as a resource center. Clients are free to just drop in to talk or relax and to work toward meeting individual goals. 5/2008 |
