The Hope Clinic is located behind the Bayboro Courthouse in the Pamlico County Health Department. The Hope Clinic is a non-profit organization set up to provide medical services to the uninsured of Pamlico County. The Clinic is open every Thursday from 4:30 PM to 7:30 PM. Services: Free medical care is provided
including medicines and lab work. Eligibility: Any adult 18 – 65 who has no insurance and who has an income 200% of the federal poverty guide lines or less. Working or non- working. All new clients are screened for eligibility. On first visit bring the following to prove your income: 1. Copy of Income tax from the last year and 2. Copy of pay stubs for last month and 3. Any court document that would prove income. 4. New patients need to also bring a photo ID or household bill which shows address. Reviews of eligibility are done yearly or if financial status changes. Staff: The doctors, nurses, pharmacists, interpreters, and eligibility screeners are all volunteers. The paid staff is made up of the Executive Director, a Pharmacy Coordinator, clinical assistant and two pharmacy technicians, and a Medication Assistant Program Manager who all work part time. 6/2009 |
