Foundation for Hospice is a non-profit organization started in 2002 to provide needs to the terminally ill and their families that are not met by traditional insurance benefits. The Foundation serves the terminally ill and their families. Their funds are provided through United Way, private donations, and fund raising. Eligibility: Anyone who has a terminal diagnosis, their family, or caregivers that have a definite need. Requests: Made by social workers, nurses, ministers or friends. Living expenses such as utilities, fuel, groceries, rent, or clothing Personal Care if not covered by insurance Travel or lodging for individual or family Funeral expenses Insurance premiums Granting “Wishes” Birthday & anniversary celebration Facility respite stays Medications and medical equipment not covered by insurance And more The Foundation for Hospice also provides: Grief & Loss Support Services to anyone who has experienced loss related to death.
