2822 Neuse Blvd www.cravencounty.com/departments/trn.cfm CARTS provides timely transit service around New Bern Monday through Friday The fare is $1.00 per trip (See above web site for schedule of times and places for stops) CARTS provides pick up and delivery transit service in Craven, Pamlico and Jones Counties. 1. 48 hours notice is required to set up a pick up schedule. 2. Wheel chair vans are available on request. 3. The driver will drop you off at your destination and return for you. They will not remain with you. 4. The drivers are not trained for medical emergencies. The Elderly & Disabled Transport Assistance Program covers many fares for pick up and delivery service. Be sure to call and ask about this program. Referrals to this program are made by social workers, physicians, or the client themselves. If a regular weekly pick up schedule is set up, the client will be billed a month in advance if there is a fee for the service over and above what the program will cover. 7/2008 |
