Angel Food Ministries
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit, non-denominational organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities throughout the United States. The Main distribution office is in Monroe, Georgia and serves thousands of families across 32 states. Foundation Life Fellowship Church is the host site for our area. For $25.00 per month Angel Food provides a quantity of high quality food that will provide enough to feed a family of four for a week or a single senior citizen for about one month. This fresh and frozen food will fit into a medium-sized box and has a retail value of approximately $50.00. There is a different menu each month containing 16 to 18 items, as well as specialty boxes of steaks, chicken, and pork that can also be purchased along with the regular box of food. The specials can be purchased for around $18.00 each. The Host site handles the food sales and distribution. Orders and payments are made to the Host Church the beginning of the month and distribution day is usually the last Saturday of the month. Payments for Angel Food are made to the host church at the beginning of the month and they will accept money orders or cash. (No personal Checks). Call the church administrative office (252-636-2113) for the hours that you can stop by to order your food and make payments. Foundation Life Fellowship plans to accept food stamps in the near future. If you are interested in assisting with this project, volunteers are always welcome to help on distribution day.
